Internships

Thinking about breaking into the world of Digital Marketing or Public Relations? Or maybe you want to hone your design skills and learn what today’s client expects? Join inSegment’s internship program to receive a firsthand look at what goes into a marketing campaign from the ground up.

AVAILABLE INTERNSHIPS:

  • Web Marketing

Our most general but most important internship! You will be exposed to every facet of marketing that inSegment engages in, from SEO and SEM to collateral and website design, PR, brand building and much more. You must be able to multitask and work independently as well as in groups. You will be forced to think critically and run your own projects. These projects will be general and varied at first, becoming more specific to your interests and abilities as time goes on.

  • Public Relations

You will be engaging with media outlets, writing briefs and releases, and learning how to promote companies in the digital age. Come help us ensure that our clients (and we) are properly represented in the press. You must be willing to learn quickly, not afraid to talk to new people, proficient with the written word and savvy about marketing messages. Be prepared to be given a lot of creative freedom and to take charge with new ideas and initiatives. Creativity matters, as does work ethic.

  • Business Development

Our most life-applicable internship! You will be taught the sales cycle by the best in the business; find and research companies, develop sales strategies and approaches, initiate contact, prepare for meetings and present your case. You’ll also see digital marketing firsthand as knowing your product is crucial to good sales. Learn and hone invaluable networking and negotiation skills that you will take with you for the rest of your life.

  • Programmer / Graphic Designer

You will implement programming and/or design ideas into practical solutions for our clients and be shown firsthand the integral role of technology in today's marketing space. The projects you encounter will range from iPhone games and Websites, to Software and Collateral design. Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a must for the design internship. Experience with at least some of: HTML / PHP / XML / C++ / HTML5 / Flash is a must for programming.

As a part of all these projects, I was able to learn first-hand about the field of digital marketing. You are treated as an entry-level employee with real and meaningful assignments. I would certainly recommend this internship to anyone looking to learn more about digital marketing.

"From my first day at InSegment I was able to dive straight into work programming with the development team. I was given independent projects that allowed me to learn material first-hand, but I always felt that I had a strong team supporting me if I ever faltered. My internship provided me with valuable experience writing applications on a business scale".
